@Elizabeth yeah so many people say it cant be from that and it doesnt cause anything but my anxiety is through the roof, i had a tender bruised stomach 2 days before i lost my first pregnancy so it really worries me The scan was going amazing right up until that point so i don’t really understand why he needed to push so hard the last few minutes x
It's so hard not to worry isn't it. If you've had a miscarriage before id maybe speak to your midwife or early pregnancy unit and just explain how it feels similar. I felt the same after my scan tho so hopefully just that x
I had a really painful scan and felt like my stomach had been through it for a few days after because of how much they dug in. Try not to worry though, it’s just because baby is so small they have to be a bit firmer so they can see everything. X
Hey, so the scans shouldn't be painful. You may get discomfort if you have an already tender area, but thats it. If the songrapher was too heavy handed, you need to tell them, and ensure they listen to you. The tranavaginal scan (internal) can be done to obtain clearer pics if necessary. Unfortunately, I've had numerous scans over the last couple of years and can tell you that you are only meant to feel pressure, not pain. It's the songraphers job to ensure they get the required data without hurting you. Annoys me so much when I see this, it's just not necessary to push that hard, that it hurts/causes bruising 😞
@Sophia it was definitely uncomfortable but now when i touch the area its tender like it feels internally bruised since theres no visible bruising that i can see, i had all the checks and measurements everything was great then the last few minutes he was pushing really hard and i don’t really understand why because everything that needed to be done or seen was already done by that point, will definitely be telling them in future to press as light as possible and letting them know when they go too hard id rather not have the worry on my mind
@Gemma will keep my eye on it over the next day or so, theres no visible bruising just feels internally bruised when i touch over the area All the necessary checks that needed to be done were already done by that point so there was no need to dig it in the last few minutes 🥹 x
Yes, the woman that did mine had to really dig in to get the right angle. I even had a little bleeding which I'm sure was from that but I was told it can't be. X
