Unsure about career

I put my career on hold to have LO, I quit my job and have been a SAHM since. I've been feeling the urge to get back into work recently but haven't been seeing anything in my line of work in my area until last night. I applied for the job feeling a bit unsure, and also thinking I'll probably not get a response, but they've already emailed me this morning asking if I can come for an interview on Thursday. Now I'm panicking because I don't feel ready, but it's a good opportunity. I'm worried I'll regret not doing it. But it's a little bit further of a commute than I'd like. I feel like I'm thinking of excuses at this point. I feel stuck and like there's this sudden pressure to decide (like today!) as the interview is in 2 days! 😬😢

Just go for the interview and depending on whether you get an offer decide then to give you a little extra time, it’s also great just for interview experience after being out of the fold for awhile

Go for the interview. If nothing else its good practice You can then decide if you're offered it, if you do want it now or want to wait a bit longer. No reason to decide now.... go for it and give yourself time to think about it Ask about flexibility, working from home etc and see how you feel about it all

Me too, I am a SAHM. I quit my previous job to look after my LG. This weekend I applied for a job. I feel so unsure and nervous, just like you. I am not sure I am doing right and whether my daughter is ready for nursery. I really don't know if it's time for a change for me and for her. I don't know how things will be if I start working.

I was a SAHM for quite a while and then i got a really nice job and it’s only been 3 weeks. I think it was the best decision ever. I was at first bit nervous about going back to work and leaving my LO in nursery but honestly everything worked out well and I think i needed this. Obviously it’s not great when your LO cries when you drop off to the nursery but i feel like he is a different person now as he developed his social skills
