Has anyone gone cold turkey with dummy?

My daughter is 11 months next week and wondering if anyone has gone cold turkey with dummy and how long it took for baby to not be bothered anymore? Wanting to try do it before she’s too much older but keep putting it off because she relies on it so much. I try taking it away in the day and just use it for nap / bedtimes and in the car which is fine when I’m out but always seems to be one lying around at home she finds or I forget to put it away

Following. I’m the same want to try get rid of it for my little one. He does well at night and doesn’t bother him if he looses it during the night. He does get upset for it and needs it more in the day rather than night time. 🤦‍♀️

Hiya yes I did had a hard 2 nights but after that she’s been fine I’m so glad I done it. My eldest had his until 2.5 years old it was so much harder to get rid of then xx

@Rachel Thank you! That makes me feel better it was only a couple nights x

@Shannon hard few nights with crying but if you can get through that it’ll be easier xx

@Rachel we’ve just got used to a few hard nights screaming getting her back in her own bed as she was in ours for a while with some awful teething. Now she’s back on track through the night in her cot it’s time to rock the boat and battle the dummy 😂

@Shannon good luck honestly it’s so worth it xx
