Mine too! She is 21 months. She has always, always been a very restless sleeper. It can be hard, but that’s part of why we have her cosleep with us, because I can’t imagine getting up to go to her room multiple times throughout the night. I think it might be part temperament and personality. I’m due in May with the second and just winging it over here 😂
@Brielle sounds like we’re all in it together just winging it 😂 maybe our second ones will be the best sleepers ever lol
Uh, I'm right there with you with a 21 month old. She is a restless sleeper and cries if she wakes up and I'm not there. I do believe she has acid reflux sometimes that wakes her. I'm trying essential oils like lavender on her feet at night and magnesium lotion. There is also baby "sleep apnea" in case you wanted to look into other reasons for the restless sleep.
My LO is only 9 months but I’ve been wondering the same! I just can’t see her managing to sleep in her own room anytime soon 🤦🏻♀️ don’t get me wrong I do love cosleeping with her as its created the best bond but my back is killing me from sleeping in c curl position every night for months and I keep wondering how much longer it’s going to be before I have a hunchback 😂 x
@Joanna McKee get a bigger bed, or what I did was have my husband sleep in the other room.. Once baby is asleep, move a bit further and sleep on your back.. or front... Whatever you prefer.
@Jamie did the lotions help? How many times does the bub wake up?
Mine did around 2.75 years old
My son was still waking up 3-6 times a night on his second birthday, and then a couple nights after that started sleeping through. You can try all the things (blackout curtains, white noise, nightlight, warmer room, colder room, bath and lotion, etc) but with my son it seemed like a choice.
@Tanmayee I think the lavender is helping. Less wakeups. Now 3 versus 5 or more. I just ordered the lotion, so I haven't tried it yet. The brand is Earthley. She goes through growth phases and that makes it worse for sure.
We just started at 26 months. I nightweaned him and after two days he did 10 hrs. He stirs a bit once or twice but straight back to sleep. We had ROUGH sleep around 23/25 months while he had a few development leaps.
At 21 months there were still noticeable wake ups, and some split nights, but after he was 2 years and some weeks, oh baby we started getting 8-12 hours of just sleep out of this guy
I've bedshared from birth and until they're ready for their own space. However we have a family bedroom so they go from my bed to their bed (in the same room). My youngest is 2.5 and most night I nurse him to sleep & he stays asleep until morning.
My son started to sleep through a lot more regularly as soon as I started co sleeping at 9 months. Started sleeping through around 14 months pretty much every night. We still co sleep but I do sometimes move to my bed (in the same room) and he never wakes up
My bedsharing son is 23 months and does not sleep through the night still lol. Sooo wondering the same🫠 now we have another due in August… send help.
