Cold sore

Heya, my mum has a cold sore and kissed my 1 year old on the cheek earlier and now I'm parinoid. I need to ask her not to kiss him until its cleared but feel bad! How bad is it? Will he have caught something now? I got home and Wipes his cheeks! Thank you

Definitely do not let her kiss him knowing she has one , wiping his cheek will not stop him contracting it , it’s not good for a baby to get it

Set strong boundaries for people not to kiss baby! The fact she had a cold sore , she should know better ! Don’t feel bad advocating for your baby. Once you contract that, you have it in your system for life and can be prone to cold sores.
