When did your first born understand that you were pregnant?

My daughter is 16 months and we got her a baby doll so she gets the idea of a baby but hasn’t quite gotten that there’s one in my belly. I’m just curious how old your first born was when they began to understand the idea of pregnancy as a baby in the belly.

Well my first turns 2 next month, and I'm only 11 weeks along right now, but we've been talking to him about it lots and he will point to my belly and say "baby in mama's tummy!" haha. I don't think he fully understands either though. I'm thinking probably not until he can feel the baby moving in my belly for himself?

My oldest was 16.5 month when our twins turned up... she was playing with baby dolls by then and was super cute feeding them and putting their backs... no idea if she understood i was pregnant though. In any case she adjusted pretty well to the big change of twins turning up. The twins are 19 months now and hardly play with baby dolls 🤣 they just fight over who gets to push them in the pram!

Never lol he was 9mo when I got pregnant and 1.5 when she was born and I don’t think he ever quite got that the baby in my belly is the one stealing his snacks now 😂 but they won’t ever really remember life without each other

I was pregnant when my first born was 4 (5 now) but he understood . He tells everyone when I was pregnant that he has a little brother 😅

My daughter is going to be 2 in may and I’m 9 months pregnant now. She has her baby dolls also and understands that but no matter how much we tell her there’s a baby in my tummy she does not understand 😅 she’ll lay right on top of my stomach and feel the baby move all around and it will not phase her one bit ! 🥲😅😂
