Dogs while pregnant?! advice?

i have an eleven month old puppy and have had her since she was 2 months old. i’m currently 18 weeks pregnant and my dog is super clingy (she has been since we got her) she wants constant attention and constantly wants to be on-top of me. u cant even leave a room without her or she whines and barks for you. i love her but im scared she wont grow out of these habits by the time the baby is here because i wont be able to give her the 24/7 attention she is wanting!? If anyone has went through this or is going through this or just know any tips or advice that has worked for you or could work please let me know!! Any advice helps!!

Dogs have VERY good instinct! My husband and I were super worried about our 2 dogs coming home from the hospital (I had an emergency c section and our dogs loooove to jump up on you) They stayed at my father in laws and we waited a few days so we could get used to being home before bringing them back. We also had my father in law bring a blanket that smelled like the baby to them before meeting the baby! Just so they could get used to the smell. Not sure how much that helped? BUT all that being said, they have been amazing with adjusting to the baby and with my healing. They have their moments but they really have a good instinct with those things.

@Carly i think she will be great once she settles down a little because she loves baby she just has never been around one long period of time or constantly and i kinda wanted to do the same as what ur saying keep her away for a couple days and then slowly introduce her so that we can adjust and let her adjust without being overwhelmed or stressed. i will be staying at home with the baby and i want to be able to adjust without being overwhelmed!!
