Blocked/narrow tear duct
Anyone else ever had this? She’s had it since birth finally been referred to specialist in April and gp said it’s most likely she will need to be put to sleep for a little operation to open it up I feel so sad

Yes. Mine had it since birth and needed the surgery. The surgery was only 15 minutes long and it seemed only the anesthesia made him a little uncomfy. He recovered really quickly though and by the end of the day, it was fully healed and he was back to his normal self.
My nephew is 4 and just had this done and hes great after it! Been an issue since birth for him

Hey, We had it for the first 12 months and had got to the stage of having discussions about the op with our GP after antibiotic drops and creams weren't working. The only thing that worked for us in the end was tear duct massage multiple times a day for a month or so. LO was then clear for three months but has just started getting a bit of gunk yesterday so I'm hoping it's just a bug and not a return! xx
