My little one understands some of what I’m saying, but can’t say anything yet - lots of babbling going on at the minute x
I feel like my little girl understands where you say things like where is mama/dada/dog etc she looks in the direction and sometimes waves…. But that could also be coincidence 🤣 She doesn’t talk at all, lots of babbling but not any sense to it yet!
My little one can say “dada mama iya ta” but I wouldn’t worry if he didn’t as I know they’re all different. My first born was even earlier than my second so it really just depends on the child. I’d say he definitely understands too not like he listens😂😂 especially to “no”. I just get a look and a laugh then he proceeds to smash things up🤡
Mine is a big talker, she has been since she was 4 months when she was already saying mama. She points, waves, claps and has so much sass! Shakes her head and wags her finger when we tell her no but she barely moves. She can’t crawl or pull herself up. She can just about move from lying to sitting and that’s a really recent development. The point I’m trying to make is some are big talkers others are good movers. It’s hard not to compare but they’ll get there in their own time.
All my children just said 1-5 words by this points or tries to copy in a mumble but not actually talk, when I worked as a nursery practitioner I never heard any 10 month old actually talk so it’s very likely your nephew is advanced 😊
I’m not 100% if we have words that mean anything yet, sometimes I think so but he’s not consistent enough. However he’s 11 months today and I’ve noticed in the last few weeks how much his understanding is improving. I think sometimes it’s easy to miss how much they actually understand. We have done much more of ‘can you put it in’ or ‘can you give it to mummy’ etc and I was really surprised how much he seems to know what I’m asking x
My little boy 10 months and says yeah, and Mama and dada
My little girl is 11 months old today and says mama and dada and babbles a lot and she understands quite abit but for talking I think it’s 2 young yet alot don’t even start till about 18 months ur nephew must be just advanced 🙂 I definitely wouldn’t worry at this age x
@Emm my daughter is also 11 months old today born 6th of march 🙂
Mine barely just learned to say dada about week ago and that’s all of what she can besides niamniam being indication of tasty lol don’t stress about it every child goes at their own pace xx your nephew must just be super child ! 😂🥰
