Trying new foods

Just started solids with my LO. We’re doing a mix of purées and finger foods. I know there’s not one way of introducing new foods but wanted to see what others are doing. Do you give LO the same food for a few days before trying a new one or do you do a new food a day? So I gave LO some avocado yesterday. Would you give avocado to him again today (and maybe tomorrow too)? Or just give him a new food today and come back to avocado later on?

I found it best to give one food maybe twice and then change. They take a minute to get used to the flavours and the textures (plus I always made too much😅) but wouldn't keep giving the same thing unless they actually liked it

Babies take a long time to decide if they like a food so just offer a food twice or three times and then move onto another, you can mix and match the foods I do say avocado as a finger food, then yoghurt on the side and the next day do mashed avocado with seasonings and something else on the side. I always come back to previously tried foods, my son hated plain yoghurt at first but now he loves it x

We did different foods each day for the first week or so, then did combos and then adding in new flavours. So potato week 1, then combined with parsnip week 2 and then with some chicken week 3. I bought some little pots so I could freeze it then just take them out the night before.

We just give new food every day and she's loved it all. We're doing BLW so she just has what we have
