Hyper mobility and office chairs

Im currently 15+6 and in absolute agony with my lower back and hips. I have hyper mobility any way (extra stretchy joints) so I usually sit in really odd positions on my office chair to get comfortable, cross legged, kneeling on the chair, the W sit etc. I have a foot rest from HR but it really doesn’t do the trick, I just end up tucking my legs up underneath me anyway in an effort to feel stable. Now with pregnancy it seems a bit worse. If I sit with my feet flat on the floor I have dreadful posture. Plus I’m starting to have some aches and pains. I have a hot water bottle to stick behind my back which helps with the aches, but I really need to find a solution that will work going forward, as I can only imagine this is going to get worse. Any one have any advice on this issue?

I also work in an office and sit the way you describe. I use a pregnancy ball part of the day and it helps a lot to take the pressure off my lower back and keeps me from getting into the spider poses.

I've been struggling a lot with my back at work and my boss has allowed me to work half days in the office and half at home and it's really helping, not sure if that's an option for you x

I would highly recommend seeing a pelvic health physio. Try and get referred but if not I ended up paying privately with my first baby. I am also hyper mobile and ended up signed off work at 24 weeks first time round 😣 I'm now 20 weeks with my second and doing all the exercises I was given previously, things are soo much better. The good news is the pain completely went away after birth 🙌🏻
