A 14 week old can’t really play on their own, do you have a play-mat that you can put near you while you do the dishes? Or do them when baby is sleeping?

14 week old is too young for independent play. Either pop baby in a carrier and carry him around, pop him in a swing, pop him down on a playmat or wait till he’s asleep to get jobs done. Independent play doesn’t start happening until around 6 months old and some children until they are older than 6 months old x

He’s too young to ‘play’ but he should be ok if you leave him on a play mat with dangly toys to just look at or try to reach where you can see him while you do the dishes. Best thing I bought at that age was a baby bjorn bouncer. He could just sit in it and watch me unload the dishwasher or whatever to start with. Then I added a toy bar for him to fiddle with and then he learnt to bounce himself which he loved! Sometimes I popped the tele on for 10 mins to keep him entertained too
