Father passed away

Hi all my daddy passed away 10 days before I had my little baby very suddenly heart attack at work.. this was 10 weeks ago.. he was so excited to meet the baby he had everyone told it was a girl and date I was going in I found this out at the wake as he was told not too tell anyone lol I’m struggling with the grief at the minute I really really miss him is there anything anyone else has done to help with this? I have a supportive partner but he works 12 hour shifts 5 days a week I also have a 4 year old who is grieving her granda.. just all really hard

Really sorry to hear this rip 🙏. It must be a struggle 😢. I'd definitely get some bereavement counselling. It's helped me before when my son passed away . Xxx keep strong

I had something similar happen a couple years ago and I’m definitely saying it takes some time and I think counseling really helped with bereavement and any PPD you may experience. If you need anyone to talk, I’m always here!

My condolences ❤️

My FIL passed away last year from a sudden heart attack. The absolute worst feeling in the world. 1yr on and it still gets me upset and have the odd tear. My daughter was 4yrs old when it happened. We have always spoken about him like he’s still here. Something really silly that has happened is that my daughter believes that her grandad is on the moon and when it’s out at night he’s looking down on us and keeping us safe in the dark. I’m 27 and I find it very randomly comforting, seeing something simple like the moon most nights gives me comfort and peace. Me and my partner and his family find that talking about him and his antics help us. Yes it makes us sad at times but thinking about all the stupid stuff he did makes us laugh. I found out I was pregnant one week before the year anniversary of his death which was extremely hard. I remember when I told him I was pregnant the first time and he acted like he didn’t care but him and my daughter became inseparable. He’d be the same again.
