Anatomy scan

So I had an anatomy scan at 21 weeks 3 days there was a few things she couldn’t see in the time frame we had (a few heart and spine things) wrote everything else looked good, I go back for a repeat scan at 23 weeks 3 days and she doesn’t say anything to me, (I feel like there’s something wrong based on her not saying anything) well my results were out in hours later and now my son has mild urinary tract dilation, anyone know how that’s caused or has anyone had to deal with something similar?

My son did he’s 2 now. They just watched it on the ultrasound and then when he was born they did a scan and now we follow up with a urologist. Nothing has been done other than do scans every year. It’s getting better but we will do yearly check ups until it’s fixed. I have to notify urology of any UTIs as well

My son (now almost four) showed dilation of his kidney, not his bladder. They watched it through the pregnancy to see if the liquid would dissolve, but unfortunately it never did and my son lost his left kidney and is chillen with one kidney. I know that's not the bladder, but it's in that ball park i guess. He just has a regular urologist now that he sees once a year. Your baby is probably fine. BUT ALSO if the tech never said anything to you, that's fine. They're not supposed to discuss diagnosis with patients. That's solely for the doctor due to legal reasons. If something is super wrong, the doctor would have talked to you or called you by now. Feel free to call them and ask about your concerns mama, don't hold off on that.

@Sierra well from what I know it is also his kidney, (nothing was explained to me so i don’t actually know) but no one has called me back about anything or explained so I’m just assuming they don’t think it’s a big deal? Idk I’m a first time mom , I’ve lost all my other pregnancies and I’m not sure what to expect and what’s normal, my ultrasound tech said nothing to me so I’m worried. Never said anything about another repeat ultrasound or anything, idk what to do 😫

You are your best advocate, and your baby's. So call and ask about things that you're worried about. Seriously, always ask questions. After my first pregnancy, I'm always asking questions and I am NOT waiting for them to get the time to contact me.
