Hi! For those of you travelling during pregnancy what do you need to do in advance besides the FTF form? Who do you give the FTF form to?
Thank you,

I have flown twice in pregnancy - fit to fly note given by midwife and I also got one from midwife at hospital as I happened to be there for a check up. No one ever asked me for them on the flights even though visibly heavily pregnant. You just keep it and present it if asked. Check the airlines policy too as some refuse if you are over a certain amount of weeks but I never had any issue

how many weeks were you?

Depends who you fly with as to how far along you are and if they request one. Check what their rules are first, you may be alright. X

I'm 36 weeks but flew at 24 weeks and then again at 32 weeks with easyJet, Ryanair and British airways

what was the policy for EJ and BA?

I can't remember but I got one for all flights just in case- the 24 weeks one wasn't really necessary but I wanted to cover all bases. You can Google the airline you're flying with to check.

I tried to get fit to fly but my GP and midwifes refused as it only for high risk pregnancies but they also didn't want to give me any documentation saying my pregnancy is low risk. Anyway when they asked at the airport I just lied and said I am 20 weeks when I was like 34 they can't do anything about it

hi, did you have to pay for it ?

omg no way?’ I thought they can just refuse to let you on the flight if they think you might be further along and lying 😂

no - midwife and hospital gave it when asked. Think it's pretty standard

I met someone on a plane at 21 weeks who needed it and she called a number that we all should have on our pregnancy packs, for the letter to be sent probably via email. I’m 13 weeks and not too visible and was not asked for one, but she was. I hope that helps xox
