Irish twins

I’m 3 months pp and just found out i’m pregnant again. I don’t really know how to feel. I’m excited but i’m also a little scared. Does anyone have any experience? It just doesn’t feel real yet and I mostly worry that i’m being unfair to my first born baby.

Hi! Irish twin mama here 🙋🏻‍♀️ I felt the exact same as you when I first found out I was pregnant again. I currently have my 3 month old baby girl and my 15 month old boy. I felt so guilty like I was taking away from my first born but honestly it’s the best thing ever. It’s tough I’m not gonna lie.. but I love it, just seeing them both together melts my heart. It’s a beautiful thing.

Girl this is me at 4 months pp just found out I'm pregnant a week ago. I feel the exact same as you it's tough for sure but they will be bestie growing together. Best of luck to you and to me 🙏

Question are you guys breastfeeding & getting pregnant? Did your period return? @Zahra

@Taylor i got my period at 6 weeks pp and was regular. And I mostly formula feed and occasionally breastfeeding untill I had no more milk supply

So worried I might be in the same boat....I got my period the first two months but I'm like a week and a half late this month....not sure if it's from breast feeding or hormones or if I'm pregnant...I'm honestly terrified to take a test and find out

@Christina periods can be very irregular while breastfeeding! I had inconsistent periods with my first and now 3 months pp but no pregnancy

Did you experience implementation bleeding. I had gotten my period it was normal but since then I only bled inconsistently two other times when I wasn’t expecting to get my period yet and it lasted three days just like it had happened when I got pregnant the first time.

@Rita I didn’t have implantation bleeding with my first baby or this one

@Keely I also have PCOS so I'm used to irregular periods but it freaks me out since I got two in a row and then missed one 😆

@Taylor I breast fed for two weeks and ended up with mastitis and just couldn’t keep going. My period returned at 6 weeks pp and was completely normal and as it always had been and just sort of picked up where it left off.

I don’t have Irish twin but my little are very close in age 14.5 months apart. It’s a little chaotic sometimes but once you get out of the true newborn phase it’s gets a bit easier as you can start to align schedules to give yourself time for you, to clean uninterrupted, whatever it may be. I used to get so upset that my youngest is going to have a year where she will get more me time that she may actually be able to remember but my oldest had that for the first 14.5 months and she won’t remember it only being her. However I make sure to really make it a point to have just time for my oldest and to make sure she knows mom will make time to play with her, be present with and love on her despite having a sister.
