No clapping or mimicking

Is anyone else’s baby not clapping or mimicking yet? I read on the ages and stages questionnaire they should be able to mimic you and clap by 9 months and mine is doing neither!

My son isn’t either. He is my 3rd and all 3 have been at different stages at this age. My first was walking at 10 months, my second 19 months and my youngest can’t crawl yet, clap, sit up fully without tipping sideways etc. don’t worry too much they will soon be doing everything maybe all at once. In April we will have a health visitor assessment or soon after x

Please don’t panic. They get there is their own time. We’ve just mastered crawling, high-fives and moving a finger up and down over lips while making noises this week. It’s been a big week. No clapping or many other things on the ages and stages questionnaire yet. Another child that left the 9 month appointment was waving… none of that for us yet. He’s learning though so I’m not concerned.

A baby will pick and choose if they want to do these things as well as “not being able to” so I wouldn’t worry. We mastered clapping around 2 months ago now but if I clap or ask her to clap she’ll outright refuse. She doesn’t copy anything I do she’s very defiant like that😂but I know she has the ability to but she just doesn’t want to and that’s ok. She doesn’t play peek a boo like it says on the questionnaire and has no interest in it and I’m not concerned I have no interest in it either😂sometimes they’re just not interested

Mine clapped first time on Monday and she was 10 months yesterday. They’re learning soooo much

Only just! My eldest learned to wave just as she turned 10 months and my middle was later than that I think but I can’t remember when
