@Chloe yeah I’m aware of it staying in my system. I read that it can take months before periods return. I only had one injection so not sure if that has anything to do with it but it stopped my periods straight away and I never bled through it but I’ve been spotting the last few days now that’s it’s finished. The injection expired a week ago now
Mine wore off the 18th of Jan or at least that’s when the 3 months was up and I’ve been spotting off an on since the 10th . It affects me differently every time I go on it though. I’m officially done though no more depo
@Emily yeah I’ve still been spotting. It’s annoying. Are you trying for another or just decided to come off it?
I had 2 last year stopped in August. Took me 6 months to get my period back and a few more months to become regular. Obvs I recently gave birth last year so that probably didn’t help cycle wise x
I had a missed miscarriage at 14 weeks in October and a dnc Oct 8th. And was super scared to get pregnant again right away so I got the depo and almost right away regretted it so we decided we would get off the depo and start trying again . But in the last week I started having some stomach issues that we think is gallbladder related so we will most likely have to postpone trying . And that makes me so sad . We have a 2 year old and really wanted our kids close in age.
@Emily so sorry to hear that. Hopefully things work out for you. I already have 3 and my last 2 are 2 & 3 and I said I was done but want just one more.
I was on it for a few rounds, my last one I actually had was last March and my periods are still not back to ‘normal’. You should have been warned it stays in your system for a long time, and it can take a long time for fertility to return. I had constant on/off bleeding/spotting while on it so I’m not sure when it would have been after I stopped having it honestly. Good luck!
