Is anyone else terrified of accidentally getting pregnant again?

My husband and I literally still havent had sex since having my baby because Im so terrified of getting pregnant again. I cant take any hormonal birth control due to gynaecological problems & at my coil fitting appointment they refused to do it as im too high risk for perforation (breastfeeding, medication, tilted uterus, family history of perforation) so our only options are condoms or pull out and I know FAR too many people who have gotten pregnant accidentally from them. I genuinely arent able to get pregnant again. If I were to get pregnant again it would be extremely high risk of still birth/severe damage to baby due to my blood having antibodies I cant just avoid my husband until menopause, realistically its not an option 🤣

If you definitely don't want anymore, what about a vasectomy for your husband?

@Terri they wont do it until hes 30 🙃 we have 3 kids so he asked GP already. Ive been referred back to gynae but its likely theyll tell me the same x

Can you try testing for your ovulation each month so you’re aware of a danger zone period then you can use condoms in safer times? We’re doing that until vasectomy 😬

I’m not sure of your financial situation but we’re probably going to go private for vasectomy simply because the time you are finally put on the list a midwife said it can take 6-18 months to actually be scheduled in. Average cost is around £550, something to save for imo!

It annoys me so much! You have three kids and he can make a choice about his own body surely?! The comment about a private one is useful though. I would be saving for that if it were me!
