I usually give him something handmade or personalized and a love letter/card ☺️ Polaroids with handwritten notes on them, I made him a couple of bracelets he wears, sketches, a little painting, etc.

I'm also a stay at home mom though, so it's hard to surprise him with gifts unless I make them myself bc of shared finances haha

I usually make him something but on the weekend I went to a mall that I didn't realize had a Purdy's chocolate, it's his favourite and I didn't even know we had one in the city. So I got a box of his favourites. He knew what it was as soon as he saw the bag when I got home hahaha but at least I know he'll like it
