she’s here!

Our beautiful baby girl, Mabel Daphne arrived on Sunday morning, weighing 5lb 13oz. Born via a cat 1 emergency c section, at 37+2w. Being completely honest, it is going to take a long time to process our birth story. However, I cannot recommend calling your MAU if something feels off, there was only 3 hours between phoning up with reduced movements, to holding our baby girl in my arms in recovery. Good luck mummy’s, please remember to trust the medical professionals. They go above and beyond and we are so lucky to have such advance medicine now. 🤍🤍🤍

Congratulations on the birth of you adorable baby girl ♥️ remember to allow yourself to feel, cat 1’s can be quite traumatic xx

@Jade thank you so much! have you got any advice? Sleep is obviously minimal at the moment, but every time I close my eyes I’m reliving it 🙁 xxx

@Millie speak to your midwife and see if there is an opportunity to have a birth reflection. The aim is just to validate your feelings and experiences and they may be able to steer you in the right direction should you need more support. Thinking of you 🩷xx

@Millie she's gorgeous, congratulations! X

@Millie definitely talk about it to anyone and everyone who will listen. Allow yourself to cry as well. It’s 6 days after mine and im just allowing myself to feel because bottling it up makes it worse. You should have someone come round to ask if you understood what happened, maybe talk to them too. I do hope you are okay though xx
