My body feels ruined

The worst part of pp for me is feeling like my body is utterly ruined, not in appearance sense, but my ankles hurt constantly, my joints ache, my stomach is still sore from my c section. I used to be extremely athletic and fit and now I can barely get up off the floor. No one warned me how battered your body would feel after a baby, it’s really getting me down😭😞

glucosamine is good for joints! mine are also ruined after for some reason when i never had an issue before. i just brought some tablets from boots and after a few weeks now i do feel less painful and achey, but i’m also in my 30s so maybe that’s just life 🤣

@Hannah I’ll be giving those a go! I’m only 23, I feel like I’m 80😭😂

They say it 2 years to really recovering from growing and birthing a baby, no ones truly honest about it because we just have to carry on 🙃 I can appreciate it must be hard when you were so active before, but give yourself some grace. You're organs completely shifted to accommodate your baby and then you've had major abdominal surgery - your core muscles were literally severed in half. If you can I'd look at gentle postpartum recovery by way of things like pilates x

@Sîan thank you lovely, I think I have to come to terms with the fact I’m not going to be like myself for a very long time, and that’s ok, I have my beautiful boy, just a bitter pill to swallow! X
