Asda has Gruffalo ones that are dairy, egg and nut free!
Thank you both, will pay Asda a visit!
We asked our childminder what cake to bring and she told us the catterpillar cake. I think its better to ask them than to guess what might be ok. Just to be on the safe side.
I just took two packets of those fairy cakes in that have a blob of icing on them usually quite cheap x
We just did mini fairy cakes from Aldi - think they were £1.49!! Some of the cakes in supermarket are insanely high in sugar (like 30g of sugar per slice!). I’m not militant about sugar but that’s crazy high even for an adult!!
Also our nursery said shop bought as they need to send the label to parents to check it’s ok for their kids to have a slice and also will have all the allergen info. So if you want a lovely handmade cake save it for family birthday!
We was asked for. A cake that nut free and ideally dairy free but will be okay as long as its nut free just got a bluey one from asda and got a slice back for home and it was actually alright 👌🏼. I would say a supermarket is more than fine as it will get eaten chucked and left. Enjoy the nice cake at home
