Gym Sessions

I have just done my first gym session since having my LG 16 weeks ago, I was dreading it all morning and can’t say I feel much better after doing it. I felt like I should have a sign saying “16 weeks postpartum” on me so no one would judge how pathetic I looked on the treadmill 😂 I know it will get better in time but god I didn’t expect it to be that hard 🫣 Does anyone have any recommendations for workouts I could do at home? Any particular YouTube channel that are good maybe? I feel like I need to maybe do more at home and build my confidence back up! My gym membership is just really expensive and I don’t want to waste it 😩.

Jessica Pumple on YouTube is good- her channels called pregnancy and postpartum TV. Used her a lot for antenatal stuff but she has a lot of postpartum work outs too.

@Verity Thank You 🙏🏻

Second vote for pregnancy and post partum tv. I haven’t tried her post pregnancy stuff yet but swore by her exercises during pregnancy

Joe wicks has some free workouts on YouTube! Well done for getting back to it 🥳x

@Siobhan Thank you 🙏🏻 I just kept thinking the longer I left it the harder it would be! I need to fit in my pre pregnancy summer clothes, refuse to buy a whole new wardrobe again 😂

I agree, I forced myself to go back to the gym the week after Christmas & it was soooo hard & I felt awful the first few times but I’ve been going for a month now & it’s made such a huge difference to me mentally! It’s nice to do something for yourself too x

@Siobhan this is what I’m looking forward too! A cheeky swim, steam and sauna every so often too 😂 plus going during the day is great, it’s mostly older people. Going to take it slow, do some home work outs and gym sessions and then push myself to do a couple of classes

Heather Robertson on YouTube is great! She has a good mix of workouts that target all parts of the body and lots of lower impact stuff too 😊
