Eating

how do you eat when you’re always worried about going over your calories and your husband doesn’t know how to go grocery shopping? I know I should be eating better, but I don’t even know how.

I focus on proteins, protein will keep you fuller longer. I did carnivore before I got pregnant and list a ton of weight and reversed a lot of illness and auot immune issues during pregnancy I had to pause then after pregnancy I am now doing keto. I don't count calories as much as watch carbs. I eat when I am hungry and avoid junk food. There are easy keto guides available online. Free.

The only thing that works for me is eating the same thing everyday. Greek yogurt with a nut and seed mix with kiwi and banana. Then a chunky chickpea salad for lunch. Dinner is different but we are a big soup family. I don’t count calories right now but I think about getting 30 different fruits and veggies a week. Have you thought about setting up Walmart delivery? I think it’s $9 a month but is way better than instacart.

@Camille i live out of town so I don't know if Walmart delivers to me

I would suggest protein focused meals with some healthy fats and veggies. Make a list of foods you need and either get your husband to follow the list or make him watch your kid so you can go get groceries (weekly or even 2x week). You can then make easy meals using a slow cooker or oven baked so it's less hands on and you have enough for a few days. But finding a routine that works for you and your family is important to staying on track for your goals. I coach women around this topic and if you want to grab some free resources from my website to help it's www.kbhealthcoach.ca
