Milk challenge

Has anyone competed this successfully? I doubt I’ll get a yes as they’ve probably left the group if they have! We’ve been give a 7 day one and once the 7 days are up with no reaction we’re told to go ahead and change to regular formula. Anyone that had reactions, when did they show? Our baby now won’t drink any of his prescription milk and is just hungry all the time now!

My lb didn't complete it because we got a reaction by day 3 which was crying all the time and very very hard to settle as well as bad nappies and this time he had actually come out in a slight rash, but I've heard that some have got to day 7 and then the following week have started getting a delayed reaction so I'd watch out for that

A friend on mine their baby completed the milk challenge successfully We unfortunately wasn't able to try it due to her reactions of swelling eyes which they thought might have been an ige reaction

Thank you both! It’s the build up/delayed reactions I’m terrified of 😫 Day 8 today and according to our allergist we can now change every bottle over… we’re going to change two today then three Monday four Wednesday and so on 🤞🏼 seems mental just all bottles at once! Need to get him weaning on other allergens to pretty quickly poor thing x

@Rachael it's definitely scary! I was terrified of even doing the milk challenge! I hope you have a successful full transition x

@Rachael if you have the allergy formula there then definitely go as slow as you need to! I'd definitely recommend having 1 spare though just incase of a build up reaction later on then you can switch straight to the allergy formula, that's what I would do anyways incase you can't get any quickly But you're doing great! And so is baby just keep doing what you're doing as mum you know best!

We had a reaction (rash) on day 6 :(
