I initially went to the doctors as my son has red sore patches on his tongue after speaking to the dr she suggested that he does a blood test to check his vitamin D B12 iron etc and they usually put other routine stuff to check aswell and I guess protein was one of them so it was only due to the sore tongue that prompted a blood test to get one of the 4 results I’m still waiting for all the other results
No dr hasnt said anything yet I just received a txt msg saying one of the four results have come back and I asked the reception and it was him who told me it’s the protein that’s high that’s come back and a dr needs to discuss this with me but would be best to also wait for the other three results to come back to discuss it all together
But it’s so shit that I got this txt msg literally at 5.30pm end of play and now I have the whole weekend where I will be stressing :(
I mean raised protein in blood could also be a sign your son is fighting off an infection, and maybe he had a viral or something that caused the red patches on his tongue? Try not to worry too much because there’s not much that will change in 2 days. I don’t think protein alone is an issue tbh x
Thanks so much for your msg. I was thinking that actually.. as he did have a nasty flu with very high fever about 2/3 weeks ago which needed antibiotics and then another normal cold after.. The red patches on tongue I have no clue but you could be right x
It’s just shitty getting a msg like that on a Friday end of play!
I agree with Sando! It could 100% just be because of his flu 💗 sorry! Hopefully you get your answer soon 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Why did you feel he needed the blood test? Has the doctor said anything yet regarding his results?
