Mine went from 61% to 34% percentile at my 32 wk. All other measurements were great so they weren’t worried bout the percentage. They were more focused on capturing the baby practice breathing
@Natalie that makes me feel better!! My doctor wasn’t concerned either but scheduled me for a weekly BPP scan (I think mainly because my first had severe iugr) just don’t want to go down that road again!!
@Jessica that makes sense! I’m getting a BPP scan each week and my doc said it’s mainly to evaluate the breathing aspect!
@Jessica honest question- why is capturing practice breathing so important? That wasn’t the focus of my growth scans and now I’m worried that they missed looking for something? I’m a FTM so I don’t know what’s important for everyone!
@Emily well it wasn’t the focus of my ultrasound. I get monthly ultrasounds to ensure baby is growing despite my fibroids. I just remember the tech saying “Im going to capture a video of them practice breathing for the doctor since she’s currently showing it” i guess it was just a sign that she is appropriately developing.
@Emily I get a growth scan every 4 weeks then a “biophysical profile scan” every week and the purpose of that ultrasound is to assess fetal well being vs growth. They don’t measure anything but assess for breathing practice, movement, hr and I think fluid level or something! I think it’s maybe more for high risk pregnancies?? Not sure but they are very quick scans!
Mine went from 68% to 27 %at my 34 week scan. They weren’t concerned
