Crawling actually isnt an official milestone anymore as some kids just straight up skip that and go from sitting/scooting to standing and walking! I wouldn't be worried 🥰 It sounds like you're doing what you can to help too!
My son didn't start crawling until 10 months and even then it wasn't proper crawling, it was army style on his belly. He started crawling on his hands and knees at 13 months. I learnt how to walk before I crawled lol and apparently the same for my partner too, we was both bum shufflers. I definitely wouldn't be worried x
@Stephanie ask any occupational therapist & they can tell you how important crawling is. It's an utter outrage that it has been removed as a developmental milestone.
I wouldn't be. Development is a range. My boys went from crawling to standing to walking pretty quickly. My older 2 were walking by 10 months & my 3rd was 11 months. They all started crawling around 7-8 months. Where my best friends boys were 1-2 months older than mine when reaching milestones. If you're worried or your mama gut says something could be off, it never hurts to get an evaluation. *If* there was something that needed assistance, it's best to catch it earlier.
Y'all he's only 8 months old
@Megan That's what I'm saying! Crawling is like 7-12 months and some babies skip it all together! Yeah, its important for motor skills and development, but 8 months is not a time to be worried yet.
@Stephanie exactly, OP don't feel worried honestly. Just keep doing what you're doing
My son was 11 months old when he started crawling and walking at 12 months. Don’t stress. I got him the walking crab that got him walking. Also him really wanting to touch the dog got him going too
Some babies skip crawling and go straight to walking, I think my youngest may be one of those, too.
I wouldn’t be too worried!! My son didn’t start crawling until he was about 9 months old.
