Weaning sadness

Well. Tonight the baby girl took her first 100% cows milk bottle and wasn't nursed to sleep. I'm so stupidly emotional 🤣 just in here sobbing. Secondary question. La Leche's web page is closed for the night, so I thought I would try here. I'm giving her organic cows milk and am curious about the reheating rules. I know with breastmilk, you only reheat once and then throw out. Is the same said for cows milk? Or can I reuse what she doesn't drink and heat it again?

I only warmed it once then would throw it out, I’m not sure exactly if that is the correct way to do it though lol. I just didn’t feel right reheating it multiple times. Congrats on the first 100% cows milk bottle!! 🎉

I wish I could get him off of nursing even if just a night

@Ak I was supprized at how easy it was to night wean. Two hard night of explaining to her that milk was all done and offering snacks, books, or water. She would cry for a bit then pick an option. She woke up early for those two days but then the two days after wards she has slept pretty good. I wish you luck!
