Fussy baby :(

Anyone else’s baby become super fussy around 4/5 weeks? Our little guy used to be so mellow and the last two weeks he’s been super hard.

Yes! I think it could be a growth spurt, my daughter went through the same. It ebbs and flows. If it's concerning you definitely do a doctor's appointment! ❤️

Oh dear. Yes, my little girl started crying and fussing a ton more around 5 1/2 weeks and is finally winding down at 11 weeks. From what I understand it’s a lot to do with their immature digestive systems and developmental growth. Weeks 6-8 were the roughest but this info helped me feel less alone https://www.pittsburghbirthservices.com/blog/infant-crying-curve-pittsburgh-postpartum-support Hang in there!! Noise canceling earbuds, watching a show i enjoyed on my phone when she wouldn’t sleep, gas drops, and my husband and I taking turns caring for her got us through.

Thank you guys! It’s nice to feel like it’s not just us.

Whitney, i am in the same boat. First two weeks seemed like paradise. Then it picked up on fussiness and restlessness. We are now in week 7. I am ready to escape 😣 Hearing also that weeks 6-8 are the hardest… geez. She is super fussy. Takes like an hour to put her to sleep. She cries a lot these days 😳

Wonder weeks is a great app! There are windows or fussiness and windows of good days. It’s all based on your babies due date not birthdate. It has helped me tremendously!

yes around that time is the average peak in fussiness. i promise it gets better once past it! my baby was the same way and now at 9 weeks today it’s been a lot better the past week or two

Wow I needed to read this post. Thanks ladies currently 5.5 weeks with twins and the past three nights have been hard. The fussiness is on a whole nother level

@Nicole thank you so much for sharing this article! It saved me! Raises all the questions i had!

I will just add we had this issue and everyone told us it was normal for the age, or colic, or reflux and it turned out she had some kind of sensitivity to her formula and breast milk. We switched to goats milk formula and she's been such a happy baby since. Not necessarily saying that's what you need but trust yourself, if you think it's more than what should be normal don't just let everyone brush it off.
