I think I read about 6 weeks after they've been walking so they're confident. Putting shoes on too soon can change the way they walk and make them more likely to be toe walkers or flat footed because they can't feel the ground
Only when confident for use outdoors.
When walking independently for a good few weeks is the idea. You can get soft booties for outside though to keep their feet warm and dry
We got little one measured for pre-walkers at Clark’s, so soft first shoes, about 2 weeks after she started taking steps independently. She doesn’t wear them indoors, just put them on when she wants to get out the pram/carrier outside and either stand up against something, or walk/cruise about. They said to come back in another couple of months when she was confidently roaming for “proper” shoes 😊
