Is there anything else around meeting milestones that concerns you? I understand why you're feeling worried and it's probably a good idea to have a chat with the health visitor or a professional in the child development field to get further advice x
@NabeaHe's currently referred to speech and language and waiting for a autism evaluation. He's ahead of his milestones physically but not speech and social skills.
Are you in a two language household? Babies take longer to talk if learning two languages but have great skills when they do Also do you narrate everything all day long? It’s exhausting and I hated it but I did it when I was concerned about my son’s speech, I don’t know for sure if it helped but I felt good actually doing something-I’d read that it’s good for their language skills to hear you speak constantly right from birth x
@Sabeen its just me and him in the house. I literally talk all day. Basically going over what's happening as we do it. The grocery shop we talk the whole way around. He used to love nursery rhymes and books but he's went off that lately
My son is exactly the same if you’d like to chat! He started speaking and then just stopped and now he is 2years! The few words he had just went, I’ve been trying so hard to get him to speak but I’m just lost at what to do x
I've messaged you @Ellie
Hi! I have the same issue.. he says only yes, and let go in my language and mumble sometimes.. he screams a lot when I don’t understand what he wants! It very frustrating.. and I have all sorts of thoughts.. including autism.. He answers when called, he knows everything.. he is doing lots of things.. but he doesn’t talk
