Ovulating after miscarriage

I had my miscarriage 7 weeks ago and ai still haven’t ovulated but I had my period 2 weeks ago. The whole time after my miscarriage I was testing for ovulation and I didn’t ovulate. Then got my period. Its been nearly 2 weeks since my period finished and still no ovulation. Is this normal? Might make an appt with my GP soon. If anyone else experienced something similar please share. Trying to get pregnant asap.

I’m not a doctor, but to my knowledge, if you have periods, you definitely ovulate. And it looks like you have pretty stable hormonal pattern. Try to look for other symptoms like mild pain during ovulation window or slimy-egg white type of discharge. These are good indicators that you’re in ovulation. After my miscarriage I didn’t know what to expect in terms of the cycle, but it turned out like yours, very well timed, like nothing happened. The cycle after, we tried again and it worked out well. So good luck 😊

@Vera you absolutely can have periods and not ovulate Incognito if you’re doing ovulation strips which I assume you are it’s possible to ovulate without getting a peak as some peoples LH rises and falls very quickly so if you’re only testing once a day it’s easy to miss it. Tracking your BBT is the best way to confirm ovulation, also things such a mucus and cervical height throughout your cycle. Get best of luck x

The cycle (or few cycles) after miscarriage can be very weird. Keep testing but if you don’t get any positive lh test thir round either I’d definitely make an appointment

I had a similar experience post miscarriage, was testing every day and thought I hadn’t ovulated for two months (but had periods) - doctor said similar to Yasmin ie don’t just test once a day as you might miss it - so I tested in the afternoons too and found it again! I got pregnant again that time that the ovulation window was very brief, so have faith!

If your aim is to try another baby, get to it .

It’s very normal not to ovulate before your first period. Your cycles will be irregular for a few months, so it’s also normal that you may ovulate earlier or later (as seems to be the case) this month. Don’t stress. It takes time to regulate - mine always did following a miscarriage.
