Yes it is hard. My husband started his own business back end of last year so is in the initial phases of building it up meaning I'm the primary earner for our household right now. So, not many tips to share but just came to offer a bit of solidarity. I'm planning to move jobs very soon which should offer a 4 day compressed hour workweek which will make me a lot happier than doing 5 days I think.
It’s hard and i can’t offer advice as im doing it! I’m stressed all the time and feel when I am home I’m just shouty and not the mum my children should have! I’ve asked to go part time as I’m currently working now whilst my children are asleep!
It’s not easy but routine is key. Batch cook and freeze for down days. Set schedule for clean and focus on having days off for yourself.
@Nimo I do this but it's so hard to make a little time to meet friends even though I meal prep, freeze and plan things way in advance.
@Elliott I completely understand. I bring the worst version home when I am overworked. I am worried for the rest of year already
I am the same! Enough stress in life without work on top and don’t have work life balance for my family
@Kirsty 4 days work sounds like a good option. Hope they don't squeeze 5 days of work into 4 :(
@Rebecca sad to see so many of us feeling this
It's so hard isn't it, I feel exactly the same!
