Partner back at work

My partner goes back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks pat leave, we have 1 nearly 3 year old and one 2 week old, I am stressing with the fact I won’t have him here to help and be my mental support 😂 how do you guys juggle to get your toddler ready for nursery and newborn ready?🩷

I think a routine would be best for you ❤️ this may take a few weeks to get right and don’t get mad at yourself if not easy at start. Get the pack lunch and other nursery stuff ready night before even their clothes and nappy for the day and newborn. You’ve got this

I have a almost 3 year old and a 5 month old and I’m not gonna lie In the beginning I struggled getting us all ready and out the door to nursery but once I had found my routine it was so my easier getting us all out the door. You will be fine 💗

I’m not in the same position as you but one thing I would recommend is: 1. Prep the night before - lay out all clothes for everyone, have bags packed. If you can even have the car packed if you drive even better. 2. Try getting up same time as your partner (easier said than done) and showering immediately after him. That way he can watch the children while you’re freshening up. You can then quickly get ready - put little one in bouncer. 3. If you are doing a nursery run you can do baby’s nappy and keep them in babygro from the evening (you could potentially do bath and change of clothes with them when you come back from nursery drop off) that way you only have toddler to properly get ready.

I’m in exactly the same position as you! I have a nearly 3 year old daughter and a 2 week old son. I also had a c section so panicking that I won’t be on my feet in time. I hope you can get some sort of routine.

I was scared about this too, my little girl is nearly three but honestly it’s not been anywhere as hard as i anticipated it was going to be. We did nursery run and bed time on the first day back at work haha. I’ve found if you have a carrier it makes things so much easier too as baby is on you then and your hands are free to sort you and the toddler

@Belle that’s a great idea! I have never used a carrier even with my first but I do think that would help Loads with nursery drop Offs!!

@Savinnah honestly been the biggest game changer since my baby has been able to go in the carrier it’s so much easier

I’m stressing about this and I have a 17 month old and newborn! 😩🤣

@Belle when you started to use carrier for your newborn ? X

I am in the same boat...and had c section 2 weeks ago

I have this! I have a two year old and a 5 week old 🙈 I pack the night before as much as I can. I get both of their clothes ready the night before and snacks prepared. I stay awake from my newborns feed at 5/6am and get baby ready first and then toddler ready once he wakes up. It’s a juggling act! I don’t even have breakfast myself 😂
