Sterilisers

I use the Milton cold water sterliser and I’ve always been recommended them or the steam ones over the UV ones x

I’ve used the UV steriliser with my first baby and couldn’t be happier, its very practical and always felt sterile. My baby never had any problems with it either. I’ve even sterilised toys like that. I’m using it again with my second one.

Myself and my husband were interested in the UV ones this time around due to liking more gimmicky stuff however after doing a bit of looking into it we read quite a few people have had problems with discoloration due to UV damage. They say that the dummies and bottles are going a yellow colour after a few weeks of constant use. I know teats and plastic can change colour with wear anyway and start to look dirty however I didn't want to speed that process up. My sister in law also just got the nuby mini dummy UV steriliser for dummies on the go and her dummies have started going yellowy/brown already after 2-3 months which definitely confirmed our decision xx
