Unfortunately it can take up to two years for your hormones to regulate and even then you and your life have completely changed so you may not ever get back to your prepregnancy mindset. You can try therapy.
Yes, try therapy first if you can. It really does help. I felt the same way and therapy has been helping me dramatically. You have to do the work on your end too, but your therapist really will do a lot to assist you and be a listening ear. I am one year postpartum and it’s still hard, but I try to take things one day at a time. I hope my comment and the comments of others will help you. You will get through this.
Often PPD is affected by poor calcium absorption and calcium depletion through breastfeeding.. if your electrolytes are out of balance calcium isn't well absorbed so drinking an electrolyte supplement is super helpful, I prefer LMNT because they don't have extra additives. Make sure that you're taking your iron supplements at a different mealtime than when you take your calcium, also, resveratrol can help PPD/A/R. It's really tough to get through and I absolutely understand not wanting drugs. I thankfully have been able to manage mine through these means... Hopefully it's helpful advice, I know everyone is different. Also; this won't be an immediate fix, it might take a while before you realize that it's gotten easier. 🫂
i hate medication. never does anything, therapy never did anything, for me i just need to feel better ab myself but nothing really does 🙃
Yes I think I’m gonna ask for medication. I didn’t want it but I have a history of depression so I think I need it
