@Ellie-May Oh that makes a lot of sense! Thank you for explaining it x
Just to add what Ellie-May has said: continuing to have sex & orgasming (if it’s okay) also helps produce oxytocin 👍🏼
@Sharnee Thank you 🙏🏼 yes I definitely will. I was mostly confused at the three times part, I can't do it three times in a day 😮💨. Once every two/three days is about my limit at the moment 😅 don't want it to be a chore
🤣 that’s fair enough. Can be hard work this far into pregnancy!
@Sharnee ahaha literally 🥹
It’s a tough thing to measure, which is better or if one doesn’t work will the other etc. The pessary usually contains 3mg of the prostaglandins, and semen on average contains about 1mg - so yes sex 3 times technically has the same amount. I’m not sure if there has been any research into whether this is the same effect though? The pessary is placed inside and releases these prostaglandins directly onto the cervix throughout the treatment time, semen however will just touch the outside of the cervix and then pretty quickly come out. Even though technically it has the same amount of prostaglandins, I do doubt it’s 100% the same effect as the pessary is a lot more concentrated and consistently on the cervix for a lot longer ❤️ No harm in continuing to have sex in hopes it will induce, but I do think that the pessary is likely more effective ❤️
