Nursery funded hours
Why have they told me we can’t have the 15 hours until next term which is in April even though I’ve paid the deposit and I’ve got the code already? I go back to work next week and LO is over 9 months so he should be eligible right? Are they allowed to do this?

It’s the term after they turn 9 months. If baby was born before 31st March - would’ve been eligible for the January term
Yes, the funding starts at the beginning of the term. So January, April and September. My little one is 10months old and in nursery but isn't able to get funding until the term AFTER they turn 9months which is April for our April born babies. It's not just your nursery, that's just the system 🤷
They are only eligible.from the term after. You can get code after baby is 9 months but their eligibility only starts from the following term anyone born after April 1st that's April unfortunately

I think nursery's and childminders have a deadline to apply for your funded hours! You may have just missed the deadline which means the code won't be applicable until April x
