You can buy a perineal wand thingy, I've not tried it but my sister had one
@Chloe I don't want to buy gadgets, I'm due next week so no point to spend money on something I'm probably not gonna have time to use 😪
@Ames I do have a husband but if I find the whole process uncomfortable and painful when I do it myself I'm sure it would be even worse if someone else was to do it
I have just had my husband do it for me because I had no idea how I was suppose to do it myself haha x
Have you tried reaching with an 'adult toy' you already have?
Oh sorry I misread your post! I thought it said any gadget recommendations. Yeah I was the same, didn't want to buy anything. Maybe see how it is with your husband? Mines done it a few times and I prefer someone else doing it, and you can close your eyes and practice your breathing x
@Jenny I don't have any 🤔
Coconut oil and a partner. If it’s not for you then it’s not for you. It’s supposed to feel uncomfortable. My midwife said sex is the best runner up.
I'm guessing I'm not gonna do it then...I don't understand how people feel comfortable having sex so far in pregnancy, it's just weird for me as the baby is right there 😅
The prostaglandins in sperm helps induce, works similarly to a sweep.
Baby is well protected in there, and as @Ayten Ayten said it can help prepare the cervix for labour. Safe to have sex up until waters break. Plus orgasms help to produce oxytocin which is needed to start labour too and just relax us in general. If you don't feel up to it though of course that's fine! It can deffo help to feel more relaxed and everything in late pregnancy though if you do fancy it! Everyone is different 💪🏻
Do you have a partner that could do it for you?
