Do people kiss your baby??

So long story short, I had a conversation with my MIL back in december about kissing my 4mo child on the lips. She was pretty receptive and agreed not to do it. Literally the other day, I walked into a family gathering with my LO and she runs up and kisses him on the lips. I stood there absolutely STUNNED. Moments later (assuming she saw the aggravated look on my face), she apologized and said she forgot. I just feel like, how could you forget that!!? Does anybody else to through this with their family/friends!!?

& It’s like, I don’t want to have to be aggressive about it but people’s carelessness is driving me nuts.

On the lips???? Ain't nobody getting away with kissing my baby on the lips without a knee jerk reaction from me, disgusted, and hopefully saying something not so inflammatory like "excuse me, NO KISSING the baby!!" But in the moment who knows what would come out of my mouth. I've had my MIL kids their heads after I said no kisses but certainly not the lips

Mine get kisses on the head. I haven’t had a problem. But on the lips?? That would just freak me out for every reason.

If my or my hubby's mom kisses our babies on lips I don't really bother as they are part of them too. ❤️

No one kisses my little one on the lips. Just my opinion, but I don't like it. They should respect your opinion.

Got norovirus over Christmas and we both ended up in the ER and I wasn’t producing any milk because my baby got kissed on the head during the 5 minutes we spent with them. People just don’t think or care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ not sure what to do about it

My MIL was very disrespectful of boundaries when we had our first, including the no kissing and no perfume rule and it has cause massive problems in our relationship ever since. Our daughter ended up so sick and stank of this horrid perfume for what felt like weeks. We’re having our second this year and I’ll be as forceful and assertive with her as required this time. Our children, our decision. That being said, MIL doesn’t respect anyones boundaries, hence my stance this time being incredibly blunt.

I made it very clear to everyone no kissing and people still go against it 🙃

I always made sure that anyone holding my baby knew that kissing anywhere was NOT allowed or i would remove the baby and leave due to not listening. The audacity of people is insane im sorry this happened to you

Never saw someone try to kiss my baby on the lips until yesterday at a birthday party!!! My cousin put her 3 yr old in front of my 1 yr old (mind you everyone in their household kisses her on the lips. So gross.) & my cousin said give her a kiss & her little girl went straight for the lips luckily my girl put her hand straight out to her face & waved hi😭😭😭 thank god!!!!
