Heavy bleed
Anyone had a heavy bleed a few weeks postpartum? Heavier than the normal blood loss? I had a massive clot and then now the bleeding is a lot heavier. Been up triage tonight and they aren’t too concerned but have arranged an ultrasound to look for retained products. The blood is bright red now and filling the pad like 5 x what it was before 😩

What is retained products as i had the same bleeding but thought it was normal and never went to the doctors
@Ebru retained products of pregnancy, it can be a piece of placenta or membrane with blood clots..... The bleeding would be heavy with large clots, so you wouldn't ignore it. If you have a doubt ask your midwife

Yes I did, it was retained products confirmed via ultrasound. I had two procedures done to remove it, unfortunately I still have some, my case is particular though, I'm taking blood thinner so that doesn't help. Just wait the result of your scan but if you feel you bleed to much, go to hospital. I lost too much blood the second time, I needed blood transfusion
