Just sharing positives!

I have been so anxious since 16 weeks as I haven’t leaked any colostrum at all and was so worried there was something wrong with my body and I wouldn’t be able to breastfeed due to lack of production (it was a stretched hypothetical but I was very worried still). I’m 36+4 and got my first syringe of it today and could not be any more over the moon. My girlfriend doesn’t understand why I’m so happy about it (I’m not expecting her to) so thought I’d share on here my exciting news because it’s truly made me so happy and it’s such a relief 😭😂

I'm so happy for you. I know that feeling! Although did you know that it's actually birthing the placenta that triggers milk production? I say that as hope to anyone who hasn't leaked colostrum and can't collect any

@Aimee I didn’t leak at all, someone on one of the posts hear told me it’s possible to try and trigger colostrum production yourself and it worked on one side! My midwife and doula have both said that some people make the perfect amount for the baby, no more and not to stress it, but it was still a mental challenge for me. 🥲😂

I leaked a lot in my first pregnancy but not at all with my second

@Aimee every child is definitely different! My mum for all four of hers had different production (regardless of choosing to bottle feed each time)
