Perfect, thank you! I’ve got a box of cow and gate but wasn’t sure how many I’d actually need. So if baby doesn’t finish the bottle, do you throw away the remaining? X
Yeah, she never finished a bottle only took around 15-30ml of them, they last for 2 hours but she wasn’t waking that frequent x
@Beth oh okay! i didn’t do any of this with my first as i was breastfeeding so this is all new to me x
Not a c-section but in my experience always take more than you think you need. And have someone on standby to be able to bring more if you need it. I had my little boy and expected to be out within 12 hours as that’s been the case for everyone I know. I didn’t get out for 3 days and had to have people bring milk a few times as some hospitals don’t like handing out spares
I took three boxes of the ready to feed starter pack. Two boxes I kept with me and one was kept in my husband’s car. We used two boxes. The hospital have sterilised bottles and teats so what they told me to do is pour some into their sterilised bottle and feed baby from there and they put the remaining untouched bottle in the fridge. Then whenever it was feed time, I called them and they gave me the bottle with a new sterilised bottle to pour some more so nothing was wasted
@Reema how long can it be left in the fridge for?
24 hours if untouched x
@Reema oh okay, thank you! X
I took two boxes of the cow and gate ready sterilised bottles which I would recommend! So easy to use and was no stress or both to the midwives as I was okay to sort them myself rather than sterilising bottles there x
