Rocking chair?

For those that brought a rocking chair for their nursery, was it worth it? We just moved home and we’re contemplating what chair to get for the nursery. Would love to get your thoughts!

I wouldn’t see the point in getting one now they’re 8/9 months old, feel like it’s more of a newborn thing x

We had more of a bouncy "rocking" chair anyway so we put that in there and it was fine, but we had a swivel cuddle chair downstairs which we've since put in the nursery as we've moved house and I definitely recommend that 😂 it's so much more comfortable than the rocking chair and she'll be able to use it as she gets older and bigger!

We were gifted one and I think I’ve used it with her about 5 times, the rest of the time it’s just there for me to chuck her clothes on before I put them away 😂 don’t bother!

@Lauren could you send a link please? Xx

@Toni lol I won’t bother then 🤣 Xx

I don't have a link for ours as it was given to us by my fiancé's parents and I think it's a few years old!😂 but this one https://amzn.eu/d/9ZiVmWB looks sort of similar 😊 I didn't actually realise how expensive they were! But worth it in my opinion x

@Lauren looks so cosy, I’ve convinced my husband to buy it 🤣 thank you! Xx

Hahaha love that! You're welcome, I'm sure you'll have many happy baby cuddles on it 🥰 xx

We still use ours! We have a cuddle and a feed before bed in it every night and I also sit and feed her for night feeds in it. If you’ve got space why not x

We have a single sofa chair in my eldest son’s room which we used from newborn - for feeds and cuddles and we still use it now for bedtime stories and cuddles when needed and he’s 3 1/2 years. So for me not a rocking chair but a normal cosy chair is definitely worth it. X

We got a used one from FB market and it's been the best thing ever, although we used it much more when he was born as now he is quite long and can't fit him in there anymore

My baby loves the rocking chair. Ive used it everyday since he’s been born. He’s nearly 9 months! It’s so comforting for both of us. Feeds, reading, cuddles, sometimes if he hes crying a lot from teething, rocking him in it calms him. My back would give out if I had to rock him without one😂 but honestly highly recommend!

I used the chair up to about 2yrs with my first. If he was poorly, in the night it was easier to sit up and cuddle and rock him, for skin to skin under a blanket etc. I don't use it as much with my second baby, but mostly because it's still in my toddlers room....

We have one and our grateful for it but when she turns one we are getting rid of it and making her a reading corner as we hope she’ll start dropping night feeds as it’s mainly for our Comfort

I just bought a normal chair and even that isn’t used now. Well it’s used for the washing pile. I was thinking of getting rid and buying some sort of children’s chair/ bean bag type thing. I’m always on the floor with her though so maybe that’s why we don’t use it x

I have a tutti bambini rocking chair I picked up off market place for £25. I didn’t really use it when she was younger but now she’s in her own room, we feed to sleep and use that chair and use it for a cuddle. I think it’ll be nice when she’s older too because we can read bedtime stories on it xx
