Reassurance scan after a successful pregnancy

I got a positive test last week, I tested too early got a negative and a few days later a positive and I made it to 5 weeks now. I experienced 3 early miscarriages before I had my baby and I wonder if I can request an early scan this time for reassurance. I keep thinking I can’t be that lucky, it was our first try for a second baby. Would the gp look at my history before my baby or does having a successful pregnancy wipe off the miscarriage history?

I believe having a successful pregnancy means that you wouldn’t fall under the recurrent loss bracket, but it’s worth asking. There are also lots of private places that offer reassurance scans, I’m going for one next week x

@Tara thanks, which week are you doing your scan? I thought I can do a private one but I want to go when they can or should see a heartbeat, otherwise it would be a but pointless I guess

I’m going at 6 weeks because im too impatient 🤣

I had a MMC before my rainbow baby and my GP sent me to womens health for a reassurance scan at 7 weeks so some of them will offer this. My hospital did reiterate they didn't usually but as it was a GP referral, they were okay to x

Update: I have been given a reassurance scan at 7 weeks, one more week to go 🙏🏻🥺

Amazing news hun!! Keeping my fingers and toes tightly crossed for you lovely xxx

@Tara did you go for the scan in the end? I hope it went well 🙏🏻❤️

I pushed it back to 7 weeks as I didn’t want to freak myself out incase it was too early and they couldn’t see anything so going on Tuesday 😊
