Hungry baby

My little one is 15 days old and does not stop eating!! He is having 4oz every 3 hours (naturally waking up and crying) but he would definitely have more if we let him! I don’t know if I should start giving him 5oz or not. The midwife was happy and not concerned how much he was eating but I don’t know if it’s normal. He’s formula fed on cow and gate. Has anyone else had this issue?

Literally having the same with my little boy but he’s having 4oz every two hours so by the time you’ve burped and settled, it’s time to feed him again. Feels like he’s constantly just eating 🤣 I’d probably offer 5oz if he’s draining 4oz and see what he takes of it! If he’s settled after feeds and not uncomfy then he must be getting what he needs xx

My little boy is 18 days old and taking 4 ozs every 2 hours. The last few days he has been quite sicky so wondering if I’m over feeding 🤷‍♀️

I think it’s normal. My baby is 14 days old (so we probably gave birth on the same ward 😂). She is mixed fed. Formular twice a day and breast the rest. She has a feed every 3 hours or so and it’s about 90mls each time give or take as you can never be sure with breast but I pump most of it so it’s pretty accurate: as you said wait gain has been fine no issues with weight gain but the last few days she’s been mad for it. To the point that today her wake window was from 7am-1pm! And guess what she wanted to do. EAT! 😂🤦🏽‍♀️. Midwife says it’s a growing phase as two weeks is a big growing week so I’m hoping she chills out soon 🤞

That's actually quite normal. Babies go between 3-4 hours for feeding 🥰
