Screen time

I want to know others doing in terms of keeping babies busy. Are you showing to shows like Rachel to the baby or no screen time at all ? If you are all alone how do you manage to see house chores and babies along ? Plz share

For me I do put the tv on him but just like for the background noise or I put some music I mean even I out a tv show he just play with his toy or try’s to help me with chores and stuff and sometimes I just give him the tablet when I’m on the car and I don’t want him going to sleep but I did try the no screen time and I said I was gonna do it but I still ended up doing it but for every body it’s different

We're currently doing no screen time. I have a 3 month old and a 2 year old. Going on one month now and it's gotten much easier. She does require hands on attention a lot but she also had independent play time and is slowly increasing! It'll be easier once he can play as well.

I’m not alone but I have help but try to clean when it around the time for bed because I have two and they run around for a hour I don’t do set schedules due to my work schedule it “flexible “ I get off two or three night at 10:30 and my kids go to bed late due to me still learning to drive Kids are 6 and 18 months

My sons about to be one and since he’s started walking we started doing screen time while I do chores and cook. he likes things like Ms Rachel and super why and Mickey Mouse and it’s only while I do chores and cool which is in the same about 2 hours a day. I don’t have an extra set of hands to keep his occupied and I just don’t want him walking around and getting into anything especially because he tends to try to go up and down the stairs so he’s usually locked in the living room

I'm on my own and i get things done when he naps or goes to bed for the night. No screen time but I'll use the TV for background noise or to play nursery rhymes but he'll be facing away from it and playing. He's 7 months

When my daughter was a baby, I just used to either do everything when she slept or I would put her in a baby carrier and do everything that way.

Yep always watches tv I have no issues with it x

Story books on YouTube! He loves his books, so whilst I'm busy trying to eat or get things done, I'll pop them on for him

We are doing no screen time, but most of the time, we have music or an audio book playing with the TV on dark mode, so all it shows is the title. Baby girl will happily play whilst I tidy/ cook, etc. I just move her to whatever room I am in, and she plays or watches me, and I talk to her

I put the tv with nursery rhymes or mrs Rachel on for my daughter if I’m doing some cleaning or cooking or If I’m not too tired I do it all whilst she’s napping. She can’t move or sit up though so can’t just sit her down to play & she gets bored after 10 minutes on her play mat, if she’s awake I sit her in the high chair and give her a toy to play with too and she will just watch me

I have a 19 month old, we do zero screen time. I do all my chores while he’s awake (I’m pregnant so I nap when he naps) and usually he follows me around the house or helps me do stuff he’s helped with before like laundry and vacuuming. He won’t sit for a movie or show no matter what it is. I introduced solo/independent play very early on so he only likes to show me stuff but he plays on his own. I also give him freedom to roam the house (not kitchen or master bedroom) so he tires out quickly going from his room to the living room etc. He does enjoy music so if I play music he’ll kidnap the speaker and take it to his room to listen while he plays. Also the majority of his favorite toys are educational and bilingual, don’t know if that also helped in the matter.
