Valentines day 🩵

What are your plans? Are we staying in or going out? I need some good ideals on what to do for valentines day kid friendly & budget friendly. Originally planned on going outta town (we love in a small town) & getting dinner bowling & some shopping due to maternity leave & no pay we will not be able to afford the gas food & bowling. We were thinking something closer to home dinner a little closer or even getting somthing to make at home & find somthing else to do togeather. Flood me with plans we could make. thank you

I wish I had a suggestion! My baby is five weeks old. We moved somewhat recently and don’t really have much of a local village. Our plans are to cook dinner together, maybe have a glass of wine, and hope that baby sleeps well so we can cuddle. Might skip the wine so we can stay awake to take care of baby. So yeah, probably just cook dinner together and enjoy each other’s company 💞

Even if I didn't have a 4 week old at the time of Valentine's Day, I still wouldn't go out this weekend for a date. Going out for Valentine's Day is always a nightmare to me due to how busy restaurants and the like will get. I'd rather my husband take me out regularly to show his love and affection for me instead of one day a year that is set to express love to a partner. I'd recommend cooking a nice dinner together at home, maybe have it by candle. You can include the kids in prepping and cooking dinner depending on their age.

Movie night at home with snacks and maybe a glass of wine. Hopefully baby cooperates. 🤞🏼

@Megan i completely understand I have a 4 week old & a 2 year old we don't have support for people to help out with the kids, so we typically just take them with us if we go somewhere & make the best of it.. this year we're thinking about staying in also, hoping that the baby's stays asleep and the kids behave so we can get some kind of cuddles in as well

@Kelli i also have a 4 week old so I definitely hear this. Typically, we take our younger daughter with us, and we go out to dinner, but this year we're trying to do something different. Any recommendations on what to cook? Our two children will have is our 2 year old girl and the 4 week old
